In this ‘Living in Not-Knowing’ episode, Bernardo Kastrup describes his early career working as a scientist at CERN. He explains how his interest in consciousness led him to philosophy and to develop his theory of analytic idealism.

Jenny and Bernardo discuss:
βœ“ The nature of the world and how the illusion of being separate arises as a result of a natural process of dissociation.
βœ“ Do animals and plants have an inner life?
βœ“ What can we say about the nature of the inanimate world?
βœ“ Could AI one day have a conscious inner life?
βœ“ How can the experience of ‘consciousness without objects’ be explained?
βœ“ Do we need to abandon all beliefs or just some, unhelpful beliefs?
βœ“ What can science tell us about the world?
βœ“ What can we learn from history?
