The goal here is to, and it's the goal of our gathering, and I think it's the goal of Center for Awakening and all the teachers that come here, is to first to uncover, dissolve, and evaporate that which is not real, so that that which is real, that which is true, that which is loving can only come through, can only be extended. That's what a spiritual journey is all about. Uncovering, dissolving, and evaporating all of the falsity, the distortions, everything that we have made out of the error in the belief in separation that is antithetical to our true nature, which is love... that is antithetical to our true reality of being the perfect creation of love. I think the human experience... that is the journey, and it happens in our everyday lives. It happens in, our life is the classroom in which we uncover, dissolve, and evaporate the falsity out of our life, so that love is always shining.
Who we are is always shining. When you look around the world, or when you look around your home, when you look around your neighborhood or community, when you watch what's going on around the world, that seems to be the furthest from the truth at times. Love seems to be like a distant memory.
When we see some of the suffering that is going on in the world, when we, and I mean, we felt that way when we all had our own personal experiences. I don't know where you are today in your thought life or your emotional state or your psychological state. I don't know where, or what you may be holding as a covering to the truth that's keeping you from being in a place of joy and peace and bliss and tranquility and creativity that may have you stuck in some way or another, but it doesn't matter.
The only thing that matters is in this moment that we become fully aware of what that, like A Course in Miracles said, that which is real, cannot be threatened, right? Because when we uncover, dissolve, and evaporate that which is not real, which the Course says doesn't exist, then the Course goes on to say, therein lies our peace of God. Therein lies the peace of God when we deal with only reality and that which doesn't exist.
That is the lesson that we're learning. And so love is always shining. And if we're the perfect creation of love, that means that we're always shining. Always shining.
I'm here in North Carolina today and it's very overcast, and it may be the same way for you. Very overcast, very gray... But in reality, just beyond the clouds, just beyond the natural clouds, the sun, the S-U-N, is shining brightly, and it's always shining. Right?
So as in the natural, so as in the spiritual, or so as in reality. Regardless of the clouds that may appear to be surrounding certain areas of your life, just beyond the falsity of those clouds, those circumstances, situations, and conditions, lies your true self that is always shining... the love that you are that is always shining.
And so what's the real game here? The real game is that we always want to be resonating... we always want to be expressing that which is always shining, which is our true nature, which is love. Love is perfect in the way that it navigates and weaves and brings all of us to an awakening moment.
So when we leave that up to love itself, then we are guaranteed to be happy about the outcome. Right? To be happy about the outcome. And we learn patience in the moment because the outcome doesn't always come when we want it to, but it eventually comes.
Love doesn't settle up every day, but love always settles up. So we don't have to be concerned about what anyone's doing, anyone's saying, what anyone is being, where we're holding any grudges or people holding views that are different than ours. We don't have to be concerned about that.
Allow love to do its perfect work.
