DAY 1
Meditation and PrayerÂ
Morning Session:
Meditation and Prayer: Pathways to Inner Stillness and Connection
Experience meditation as the gateway to inner stillness and prayer as a means of deep communion with the Self and the Divine. Drawing on the teachings of Jean Klein, A Course in Miracles, and The Bhagavad-gita, this session will delve into:
• Meditation as a practice of resting in awareness and dissolving identification with thoughts (Jean Klein).
• Prayer as an act of aligning the mind with the divine presence within, as outlined in ACIM’s lesson: "Let me be still and listen to the truth."
• The non-dual understanding of prayer and meditation in The Bhagavad-gita, where prayer becomes an acknowledgment of the oneness of the Self and the Divine.
Experiential Practice:
Jean Klein's Body-Awareness Meditation
You will be guided through a 15-minute meditation in the style of Jean Klein, focusing on sensing the body and allowing the natural state of awareness to emerge. This practice will emphasize effortless relaxation and the dissolving of personal identity into pure awareness.
Â
Afternoon Session
Q&A
In this previously recorded session, questions about meditation, prayer, and direct experiences are shared. Bill and Lisa address practical concerns and insights from the morning session.
DAY 2
Self-Inquiry and Welcoming
Â
Morning Session
Self-Inquiry and Welcoming: Recognizing and Embracing the True Self
 Â
In this session you will explore the practice of self-inquiry as taught by Ramana Maharshi, Jean Klein, and Advaita Vedanta, as well as the concept of "welcoming" all experiences with openness, inspired by the non-dual understanding of reality in ACIM and Jean Klein’s approach to presence:
- Self-inquiry as a method of directly questioning the "I" and discovering the Self as pure awareness (Bhagavad-gita  and Jean Klein).
- Welcoming difficult thoughts, emotions, and sensations without resistance, based on the teaching that all forms are expressions of the same awareness (Jean Klein, ACIM).
- The practice of forgiveness (release) in ACIM as an expression of welcoming and seeing beyond illusions to the truth of oneness.
Experiential Practice:
Jean Klein's Self-Inquiry Meditation
You will be guided through a 15 minute self-inquiry practice inspired by Ramana Maharshi and Jean Klein. The meditation will involve asking the question, "Who am I?" and resting in the space where all thoughts dissolve, revealing the true Self.
Afternoon Session
Q&A
This previously recorded Q&A session will allow you to explore your experiences with self-inquiry and welcoming practices. Bill and Lisa guide you in deepening your understanding of these practices.

Bill + Lisa
Their feet in the sand, the sun on their faces, the precursor to the Center for Awakening — the Teachers of God Foundation — began as a conversation between Bill Free and Lisa Natoli as they sat near the ocean in Maine in the summer of 2012.
At the time, Lisa and Bill were both dedicated teachers of A Course in Miracles, both passionate about the message contained in the Course. As the years passed, they found that a lot of people (themselves included) were stuck in ideas and concepts, living more at the intellectual head level and not so much at the awakened heart level. You could say they knew intellectually that the teachings of the Course and many traditions were true and yet lacked a direct experience of knowing it for themselves, until this understanding was realized in 2018.
Fast Forward 10+ years...
Through collaborative efforts with Pure Presence Conferences and Awakening Mind Films, and focused on the teachings of the direct path, both Bill and Lisa have gracefully integrated the progressive path of A Course in Miracles with the nondual direct path as taught by Ramana Maharshi, Jean Klein, the Bhagavad-Gita, Advaita Vedanta and others.
Dedicated to the truth that these wisdom traditions hold, today Bill and Lisa share the message that peace and happiness is ever-present within all of us. We are all here to wake up to the truth of what we are; pure Being, pure Consciousness, pure Awareness. Eternal. Changeless. Luminous. Self.
