What is Center for Awakening?
The Center for Awakening is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting people in the spiritual journey towards the recognition of our true nature, and the consequent discovery of the natural peace and happiness that is ever-present within us. We recognize that there is no single spiritual teaching that is right for everyone. Each of us needs to find our own pathway, as each of us is starting from different circumstances and conditioning. So we provide access to a variety of teachings, supported by community events, gatherings and discussions, to help members find what they need for the next step on their path... knowing it for themselves.
Our Facilitators
Bill Free
Bill is the Co-Founder of Center for Awakening, and the Founder of Pure Presence Productions LLC, a platform for thought leaders, wisdom teachers, and facilitators from nonduality, science, philosophy and music to promote the expansion, understanding and direct experience of awareness for beings around the world to awaken to their true identity.
Bill loves and shares the teachings of A Course in Miracles with the understanding and integration of nonduality through the Direct Path. He sees the Course as a series of practices which through a daily devotion will gradually refine and purify the mind of the seeming separate self until it recognizes itSelf and dissolves into the heart of Awareness as it awakens to the I Am Presence. He offers lectures, self-inquiry guided meditations and workshops to help others discover this for themselves.
Susan Telford
Susan is a minister and spiritual mentor and the author of An Endless Namaste: Poems of Awakening. Susan is the founder of Slowing Down to the Speed of Grace™ and The Seventh Sense Symposium, programs for spiritually awakening women. Â
Jenny Beal
Jenny discovered the peace, happiness and ease of being that is inherent in our true nature through the Direct Path teaching of Rupert Spira and Francis Lucille. She has a love of science and mathematics and sees science as a set of mathematical models which express the beauty of unfolding patterns of natural phenomena, not as ultimate truth. She considers openness to examining and abandoning all belief systems to be the principal prerequisite for the understanding of our true nature. In Jenny’s view, the spiritual path has no beginning or end. Nor is there any distinction between spiritual life and life in the world. When asked a question, she temporarily becomes a teacher; otherwise, she remains a student and enjoyer of all that is.
Rev Cyndi Krupp
Spiritual Mentor, Minister, and Every day Being, Reverend Cyndi Krupp shares her knack for bringing clarity to Truth Teaching from many traditions and turning them into guidelines for living a joy filled Awakened Life. In addition to her 1-on-1 work Cyndi is an active facilitator within the Center For Awakening, part of the management team of The Global Dyad Meditation Project, and an active Minister at Awakening Together.
Amy Haible
Amy Haible holds a master's in Urban and Regional Planning and a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from Atlantic University. She left her position as a field office manager for U.S. Senator William Cohen to raise her daughter and pursue her lifelong interest in spiritual studies.
Amy’s teachers have been wide reaching, including Seth (Jane Roberts), David Hawkins, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramana Maharshi, Rupert Spira, Francis Lucille, and many others, for whom she is deeply grateful. Amy has been a student of A Course in Miracles since 2010 and is the author of Training Wheels: An Experienced Guide to the Daily Lessons of ACIM. She lives in Harpswell, Maine where she continues to teach, write, and study the non-dual path.Â
Rona Marren
Rona Marren is currently a student of A Course in Miracles and nonduality. She spent 20-plus years as a spiritual seeker and in 2020 had her first glimpse of awakening. Rona is a wife, mother, daughter and caregiver. She integrates Knowing the truth of Who I Am into her daily activities continuing to attend courses, workshops, and retreats, volunteering with the Center for Awakening and Pure Presence Conferences, and by frequent moments of resting as awareness.
Lisa Natoli
Lisa Natoli teaches healing as a natural ability that can be learned by anyone. She is the creator of The Healing Cure and The 40-Day Program for Transformation. She had an awakening in October 2018 after being on a spiritual path for over 25 years. Over the years, she would have “moments” of profound clarity, peace and happiness and then would seem to “lose” it. Therefore she spent years wondering what she was doing wrong. She figured it was because wasn’t devoted enough, wasn’t committed enough and therefore experienced a lot of inner guilt trying to be good, release grievances, love everyone and everything. It mostly felt like a lot of effort, struggle and confusion. In 2018, she found the key to healing and awakening: Be where you are and welcome everything as it is. She lives in York Maine with her awesome husband Bill Free and two cats, Joy and Vanna.Â
